Job Description

We need product photographers to take studio shots of products for advertisements, brochures, books or magazines. The photographers will need to set up the product on a suitable background and use different lighting techniques to get specific creative effects. When agencies want to achieve a certain effect they might ask a creative director or designer to work with the photographer and provide direction. Following the shoot, the photographer may decide to use digital editing techniques to enhance the image or achieve a specific result.

Job Description: Product/ Technical Photography:

• Basic knowledge of photography both indoor and outdoor.
• Should have a sound knowledge of DSLR camera techniques.
• In depth knowledge of setting up equipment, both indoor and outdoor and shooting.
• Knowledge of lighting set up in varied environments.
• Taking product photographs from various angles and editing the photographs for website usage.
• Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras.
• Understand the creative brief and fulfil it on time.
• Must have a good sense of visual composition and perspective.
• Photography of the products, Image processing, Image Editing.
• Have a broad range of photographic skills or a very high level of skill in one area of specialism.
• Work to a brief and be able to convey the corporate image and values of the company.
Other day-to-day photography operations related tasks.

• Plan and execute product shoots.
• Coordinate with various teams for execution.
• Pre production and post production of the images
• Editing photographs and uploading them on the database regularly.
• Must have good technical knowledge of photo-editing and digital processes, and of all camera equipment.
• Be highly-skilled in image-manipulation and image-management software.
• Be resourceful and cope with working in less than ideal working conditions or lighting levels.

Duties:

• Analyze and decide how to compose a subject
• Use various photographic techniques and equipment
• Capture subjects in commercial-quality photographs
• Enhance the subjects appearance with natural or artificial light
• Adjust apertures, shutter speeds, and camera focus based on a combination of factors such as lighting, field depth, subject motion, film type, film speed.
• Create artificial light using flashes and reflectors.
• Determine desired images and picture composition; and select and adjust subjects, equipment, and lighting to achieve desired effects.
• Estimate or measure light levels, distances, and number of exposures needed, using measuring devices and formulas.
• Photograph subject material to illustrate or record scientific/medical data or phenomena, using knowledge of scientific procedures and photographic technology and techniques.
• Review sets of photographs to select the best work.
• Select and assemble equipment and required background properties, according to subjects, materials, and conditions.
• Direct activities of workers who are putting up photographic equipment.
